Security Officer Evenings

About the role

As a Security Officer at MercyOne, you will provide a physical presence for the purpose of prevention and/or detection of adverse conditions which would place the safety and security of the hospital environment at risk while protecting the welfare of patients, visitors, staff, and facility assets.

Interaction is with a variety of people inside or outside the organization. Communications are often difficult or stressful in nature. Contact with others involves complex, detailed, and often sensitive topics. The job requires a high degree of interpersonal skills to deal with a range of complicated problem situations. Interactions involve gaining the agreement of others.

Schedule

Night shifts varied every other weekend and holiday requirements.

Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License
• Basic Life Support and CPI within 60 days
• Law enforcement or criminal justice coursework preferred

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent

Pay

Pay Range: $18.25 - $27.37

Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
