Security Officer - FT Day Shift

Employment Type: Full time, Day Shift (7:00am - 3:30pm). The schedule includes working a weekend and holiday rotation. A valid NYS driver's license is required.

About the Role

Enforces security-related policies and procedures to provide a safe and secure environment for all employees, visitors, patients, and physical properties. Performs other duties as assigned to assist in achieving overall division and hospital goals.

Responsibilities

• Enforce security policies and procedures.
• Provide a safe and secure environment for employees, visitors, patients, and property.
• Diffuse and handle violent physical situations calmly.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• NYS certification as a Security Guard required.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum of two years of security experience highly desirable.
• College-level coursework in criminal justice is a plus but not required.
• BLS/CPR certification and first aid training required.
• Ability to stand, walk, sit, lift, carry, push, and pull as part of medium work duties.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.

Work Environment

• Clinical and outdoor settings.
• Exposure to potentially hazardous situations (Exposure Class I).
• Regular interaction with all services, medical staff, patients, visitors, contractors, vendors, and regulatory agencies.

Pay

Pay Range: $20.20 - $28.00 per hour, based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates.
