Position Summary

Under the direction of Security Department supervisors and managers, the incumbent provides security coverage ensuring adequate protection for the safety of patrons and team members, safeguards the organization’s assets, and promotes an outgoing, friendly guest‑oriented demeanor at all times.

Responsibilities

• Maintain security throughout the entire property.
• Responsible for the security and safety of patrons and employees during assigned shift.
• Safeguard company assets during shift times.
• Prepare detailed incident reports in a clear and precise manner.
• Demonstrate actions and behaviors that reinforce the Company’s Mission and Values of Communication, Integrity, Fun, Respect, Accountability, Passion and Dedication.
• Enforce policies and procedures related to Internal Controls and Gaming Regulations during assigned shifts.
• Assist in the event of an emergency.
• Assist patrons with inquiries, provide information about the property and events, give directions, and escort them if necessary.
• Perform work in accordance with all Virginia Lottery Regulations.
• Attend seminars when needed.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
• Minimum one (1) year of guest service experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• One (1) year of security‑related experience preferred.
• Must obtain and maintain all licenses/certifications required by Federal, State, and Virginia Lottery regulations.
• Successful background check and drug screening.
• Prior experience in the gaming industry strongly preferred.
• Must be at least twenty‑one (21) years of age.
• Ability to obtain CPR/AED certification and complete Blood‑Borne Pathogen training.
• Availability to work holidays, weekends, and flexible shifts.
• Knowledge of computer applications to compose clear, concise, and accurate reports.
• Ability to read and comprehend documentation, training materials, and policy information.
• Ability to assist sick or injured guests or team members.
• Effective, courteous, and professional communication with guests and all levels of team members.
• Proficiency with tools and equipment such as radios, computers, and other position‑specific tools.
• Capability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Fluency in English for professional communication.
• Adherence to company policies and guidelines.

Pay

Hourly rate: $14 – $19.
