Responsibilities
- Responds to resident requests for security or emergency maintenance/housekeeping assistance.
- May assist direct care staff with resident emergencies.
- Performs inspections of the community on foot as directed to detect and respond to any unusual, unsafe, or abnormal conditions and responds as appropriate.
- Ensures appropriate emergency personnel and staff are contacted and necessary measures are taken in the event of an emergency including assisting with the evacuation process and/or escorting residents, family members, visitors, or staff to designated areas.
- Maintains compliance with parking and traffic regulations on campus.
- Utilizes security camera system to monitor activities inside and outside the building.
- Documents occurrences during assigned shift and communicates to supervisor, other security personnel, and other personnel as necessary regarding said occurrences.
- Answers phones, greets and directs visitors, and accepts deliveries if covering reception desk during assigned shift.
Requirements
- A high school graduate or equivalent.
- 6 months experience in security or equivalent combination of education & experience.
- Experience in healthcare or long-term care setting preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills to be able to interact with all levels of people.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English.

Skills

Pay
$22 per hour
Schedule
Fully time day shift, will include weekends. Flexibility to work other shifts when necessary.
