Security Officer - Front Desk

About the role

As a Front Desk Security Officer at a food and beverage location in Bloomington, IL, you will serve as a welcoming, professional presence for employees, visitors, and vendors. You will manage access, monitor entry activity, respond to security-related concerns, and provide exceptional customer service and communication.

This is a part-time position offering flexibility to build a schedule that works for you through our Claim a Shift platform.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Manage the front desk by greeting visitors, verifying identification and visitor authorization, issuing credentials, and maintaining accurate visitor records.
• Monitor access points, cameras, alarms, and communications systems; report suspicious activity or access concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency personnel when needed.
• Support a professional, welcoming environment by directing visitors, receiving deliveries, and communicating security-related information to personnel.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Thursday: 10:30 PM – 6:30 AM
• Friday: 10:30 PM – 6:30 AM
• Saturday: 10:30 PM – 6:30 AM
