Security Officer Front Desk

About the role

As a Security Officer Front Desk in New Haven, CT, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. Join Allied Universal as a Front Desk professional at a residential housing location, where you will greet residents and visitors, manage access activity, respond to questions, and help support a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, residents, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access at the front desk by greeting visitors, reviewing credentials, maintaining visitor logs, and reporting unusual activity through proper channels.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site contacts and/or emergency services when appropriate.
• Support front desk operations by answering questions, providing directions, documenting daily activity, and communicating security-related information to supervisors and/or client representatives.

Requirements

• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
