About the role

As an unarmed patrol officer at a busy retail location in Long Beach, CA, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through proper channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or potential issues.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help support access control practices, assist with crowd management, and address policy-related concerns.
• Support loss prevention and property protection efforts by observing activity, reporting suspicious behavior, and assisting with routine closing and opening procedures as directed.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation and drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Qualifications

• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.

$19.50 / Hour

• Saturday: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Sunday: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
