Security Officer for Outdoor Mall

About the role

As a Security Officer for Outdoor Mall in Long Beach, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report relevant details to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout retail common areas, storefront corridors, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, observe customer and employee activity, and assist with security-related concerns such as lost property, trespassing issues, and/or after-hours access requests.
• Support daily operations at the location by documenting observations, completing incident reports, and communicating clearly with store personnel, property management, and/or emergency responders as needed.

Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
