Security Officer for Logistics Gate

About the role

As a Security Officer for Logistics Gate in Long Beach, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry and exit points, verify credentials, issue badges, and maintain accurate visitor and access records. You will remain visible to help deter security-related incidents while delivering professional customer service and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and control entry and exit of employees, visitors, drivers, and vendors in accordance with site procedures.
• Maintain accurate visitor, vehicle, and delivery records; issue access credentials as authorized; and report access concerns to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.

Requirements

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.

Schedule

• Full Time
• Day Time: Tuesday through Saturday, 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

$19.00 / Hour
