About the role

As a Patrol Officer at a residential community in Carson, CA, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, community policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout residential common areas, parking areas, building exteriors, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, vehicle, and resident activity in accordance with site-specific policies.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, and document observations and actions taken.
• Communicate clearly with residents, management, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership regarding security-related matters.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
