About the role
As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control, and assist with security-related concerns. You will provide professional customer service and clear communication to patients, visitors, and staff while responding to situations with care and integrity.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner while following established protocols.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of healthcare facility interiors, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, communicate relevant observations to facility personnel and Allied Universal leadership, and complete required reports.
- Assist with maintaining an orderly, welcoming healthcare environment while providing directions and support to patients, visitors, and staff.
Requirements
- Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- Must meet hospital vaccination requirements.
- Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Pay
$20.70 / hour

- Monday: 09:30 PM - 06:00 AM
- Friday: 09:30 PM - 06:00 AM
- Saturday: 09:30 PM - 06:00 AM
- Sunday: 09:30 PM - 06:00 AM
