Security Officer Financial Corporate Site

About the role

As a Security Officer at a financial corporate site in Cohoes, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Financial Institutions. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service. You will communicate professionally with employees, visitors, and stakeholders while supporting a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, including business areas, entrances, exterior perimeter, parking areas, and other designated locations.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and report unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity to the appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and patrol logs in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
