Security Officer Corporate Site

About the role

Allied Universal is currently hiring a part-time Security Officer for a corporate site in Boston, MA. The position operates on Saturdays and Sundays from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Respond to incidents, property concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document observations according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout building common areas, entrances, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, assist with visitor and contractor entry procedures, and report maintenance, lighting, and/or other property-related issues to the appropriate contacts.
• Support day-to-day operations by communicating with property management and/or Allied Universal personnel regarding tenant concerns, after-hours activity, and other security-related matters.

Requirements

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Minimum age requirement for unarmed roles: 18 years old.
• Minimum age requirement for armed roles: 21 years old.
• Pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licenses may be required prior to employment based on state and/or local laws and regulations.
• A valid driver's license may be required for driving positions only.

Pay

$23.00 per hour.
