This Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced position is a flexible, dependable option for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career with the industry leader. As a Security Officer - Financial Center in New York, NY, this role provides reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility to earn more by picking-up additional shifts.

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours one week and full-time the next—it’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week, always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities at a financial institution.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of banking areas, offices, entrances, parking areas, and the property perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, helping to maintain orderly entry and exit at the location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel as directed.
• Complete required activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Note: At this site, there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
