Security Officer Facility Plant
About the role
Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual conditions in a calm, problem-solving manner and report security-related concerns according to post orders.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout operational areas, buildings, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential hazards or maintenance issues.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor documentation, and document site activity, observations, and incidents in required logs and reports.
- Support emergency procedures by communicating with site contacts, directing foot traffic as needed, and assisting with evacuations, shelter-in-place events, and other security-related responses.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licenses requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

- Knowledge of emergency response procedures.
