Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assisting with directions, check-in procedures, and restricted area protocols in support of daily healthcare operations.
• Support staff and visitors during medical-related emergencies, evacuations, and/or other urgent events by following post orders and reporting procedures.

Minimum Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must be able to meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Must be able to work in and around a hospital morgue.
• Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
• Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital environment.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
