Security Officer - Experienced Flex

About the role

This flexible, dependable part-time enhanced security officer position is designed for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career. As a Security Officer - Experienced Flex in Tempe, AZ, you’ll have a fixed base schedule with the option to pick up additional shifts for extra earnings and experience.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of banking areas, entrances, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and vendor activity in accordance with site-specific access-control procedures.
• Document daily activities, patrols, incidents, and unusual observations accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or emergency responders.

Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of law enforcement experience, 2 years of security supervisor/manager experience, or 3 years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and regulations, which may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay

$26.00 / hour

Schedule

Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.

Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites.
