Security Officer - Experience Required

About the role

As a Full Time Patrol Monitoring Security Officer in Newell, WV, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical. You will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, deter incidents, and report security-related concerns while providing outstanding customer service and clear communication in a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility buildings, processing areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter boundaries to identify unusual conditions and deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access control points, verify authorized entry as directed by site procedures, and document visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, hazardous-material-related notifications, and critical situations calmly, following site emergency procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.

Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay

$17.10 per hour.

• Tuesday: 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM
• Wednesday: 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM
• Thursday: 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM
• Friday: 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM
