Job Description

As a Security Officer - Experience Required in Granite City, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location where you will help support access control operations, monitor entry points, conduct routine patrols, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. In this role, you will remain visible to help deter incidents while delivering strong customer service and communication.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by following access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, reporting relevant details and following established communication protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, gates, loading areas, and perimeter, noting unusual activity and reporting security-related concerns.
• Maintain accurate visitor, vehicle, and access-related records, and support screening processes for deliveries, contractors, and/or vendors entering the location.

Minimum Requirements

• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
