About the role
As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for the security of hospital employees, patients/families, visitors, and property. You will handle fire prevention and initial response measures, maintain safety practices in your assigned area, and manage aggressive or violent behavior through non-abusive physical intervention.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the security of hospital employees, patients, families, visitors, and property.
- Implement fire prevention measures and respond to initial fire-related incidents.
- Maintain safety practices in assigned areas.
- Read, write, and speak English effectively to follow written and oral instructions.
- Make independent decisions when circumstances require.
- Interact tactfully with co-workers, patients, and visitors.
- Manage aggressive or violent behavior through non-abusive physical intervention, either alone or as part of a team.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record required.
- Prior security experience preferred.
- Prior hospital security experience preferred.
