Security Officer Evening Patrol

About the Role

As a Security Officer Patrol Services in Durham, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a commercial real estate location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment through strong communication and customer service. In this role, you will work as part of a caring, agile, and reliable team that puts people first and acts with integrity while delivering innovative service.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out assigned security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through appropriate channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the property, including common areas, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to the location by observing people and vehicles, verifying credentials when required, and reporting suspicious behavior, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations.
• Support daily operations by completing routine reports, communicating with property management and/or local contacts, and assisting with security-related inquiries in a courteous manner.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Preferred Skills

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Pay & Schedule

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Schedule: Daytime, Tuesday through Friday, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM
