Security Officer Entry Screening Evening Shift

About the role

As a Security Officer Entry Screening Evening Shift in Hagerstown, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by carrying out screening procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
• Screen individuals, bags, packages, and/or vehicles entering or leaving the location in accordance with post instructions and established screening protocols.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, shipment documentation, and/or visitor information to help support authorized entry and orderly operations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document security-related concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, observing for unusual activity, unsecured areas, and/or conditions that may require follow-up.

Requirements

• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Minimum age requirement: 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21 years old for armed roles.
• Licenses and certifications: Guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
