About the role
As a Security Officer Entry Screening in Mount Vernon, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a leading automotive manufacturing location, you will help maintain a secure environment by managing visitor and employee access, issuing and monitoring badges, and supporting security-related procedures. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate professionally, and remain a visible presence to help deter incidents.

Pay
$16.00 / Hour
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and drivers by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access control policies, and emergency response activities at an automotive manufacturing location.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, maintain visitor and contractor logs, issue temporary access badges, and direct authorized personnel to appropriate areas.
- Screen vehicles, deliveries, and outbound materials in accordance with site procedures, reporting irregularities or unauthorized access attempts to site leadership.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, production-adjacent spaces, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Qualifications
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control/badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
