About the role

As a Security Officer Entry Screening in Wilkesboro, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Access Control Officer in a food and beverage location, you will help maintain a secure environment by managing entry points, verifying credentials, monitoring access activity, and supporting visitors and employees with professional service. You will remain visible, communicate clearly, and help address security-related concerns while representing Allied Universal's agile, reliable, innovative, caring, team-focused, and integrity-driven values.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage production location.
• Monitor and control entry and exit points, verify credentials, issue visitor badges, and maintain accurate visitor and contractor logs.
• Screen incoming vehicles, deliveries, and personnel in accordance with site procedures, helping to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
• Respond to access-related incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly reporting concerns to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, exterior grounds, and the business perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Requirements

• Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Qualifications

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Pay

Pay Rate: $18.25 / Hour

Schedule

Part Time. Day Time: Saturday 07:00 AM - 07:00 PM, Sunday 07:00 AM - 07:00 PM.
