As an Access Control Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor entry points, verify authorized access, and maintain a professional, visible presence that helps deter security-related incidents. You will communicate clearly with tenants, visitors, and team members while delivering exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access control protocols, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control access to commercial property entry points by verifying credentials, documenting visitor and vendor arrivals, and directing authorized individuals appropriately.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and complete required reports.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of building common areas, parking locations, access points, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Maintain accurate access logs, incident documentation, and shift activity records in accordance with site-specific requirements.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
