As an Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will manage site entry, verify credentials, monitor access points, and support a welcoming, professional experience for visitors and employees. Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue visitor badges, and maintain accurate entry and exit records in accordance with site procedures.
- Screen and direct deliveries, contractors, and other authorized personnel while communicating access concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal supervision.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established chemical facility procedures and notification protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, facility areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Requirements
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
