Security Officer Entry Level Part Time Multiple Shifts

About the role

As a Security Officer Part Time Patrol Driver in Petersburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities. At a utility location, you will conduct routine unarmed patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. This driving role offers the opportunity to support employees and visitors through clear communication and exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of utility facilities, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to assigned locations, verify credentials as directed, and report access concerns or suspicious activity according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency services when directed.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required activity logs, incident documentation, and shift communications.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

$18.00 per hour

Schedule

Part-time. Shifts: Tuesday 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM; Sunday 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM.
