Security Officer Entry Level Full Time Mornings

About the role

Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a dynamic retail location in Christiansburg, VA. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, assist visitors and store teams, and communicate clearly when responding to concerns. Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail sales areas, stockrooms, receiving areas, entrances, parking areas, and the property perimeter to help identify unusual activity and deter theft or unauthorized access.
• Monitor access points, observe customer and employee activity, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and documenting observations and actions taken.
• Assist with maintaining an orderly retail environment by providing directions, answering questions, and supporting loss prevention and emergency response efforts as assigned.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation and drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Qualifications

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
