Security Officer - Entry Level

About the role

Join Allied Universal in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will help manage access control, monitor activity, and conduct routine patrols to support a secure environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, badge and credential checks, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points for the location, verify identification and/or delivery documentation, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Support shipping, receiving, and gate operations by maintaining visitor and vehicle logs, confirming appointments, and directing approved traffic to designated loading and unloading areas.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, including access points, parking areas, and logistics flow zones, as working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Requirements

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

DayTime: Wed 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM, Fri 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM, Sat 06:00 PM - 06:00 PM, Sun 06:00 PM - 06:00 AM
