Security Officer Entry Credential Driver

About the Role

As an Access Control Officer at a healthcare location, you will manage entry points, verify access credentials, monitor activity, and help maintain a secure, welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and patients. This position requires a valid driver’s license in the state where the job is located and involves providing exceptional customer service, clear communication, and supporting security-related operations with integrity and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, staff, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor and control access to healthcare and laboratory areas by verifying credentials, issuing visitor badges, maintaining visitor logs, and following site-specific access protocols.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to established procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unauthorized access or unusual activity.
• Maintain accurate reports and records related to visitor activity, access-control events, incidents, and shift activities.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Note: This site has limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.

Pay

$19.25 per hour.

• Friday: 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
