Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Control access at entry and exit points by verifying credentials, screening visitors, monitoring truck and employee traffic, and documenting authorized access in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations and activity to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, perimeter, loading areas, trailer yards, and parking areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Support shipping and receiving operations by monitoring access to restricted areas, maintaining accurate visitor and vehicle logs, and following post orders for deliveries, pickups, and/or after-hours access requests.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licenses required are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physical ability to perform the essential functions of the job, including but not limited to standing, walking, sitting, climbing, reaching, lifting, pushing, pulling, and handling objects.
