Security Officer Entry Control

As a Security Officer Entry Control in Gary, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer in a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence and routine activity.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial location.
- Monitor entrances, gates, badge access points, and/or vehicle checkpoints to help regulate authorized entry and exit of personnel, contractors, deliveries, and materials.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns according to site protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around production areas, warehouses, parking areas, and the perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
- Verify credentials, issue visitor passes when required, and communicate with site contacts regarding arrivals, departures, and other access-related activity.
Requirements
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
