Security Officer Entry Authorization

About the Role

As a Security Officer Entry Authorization in Brookwood, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial. You will manage entry and exit points, verify authorized access, monitor site activity, and communicate professionally with employees, visitors, and contractors. Your visible presence will help deter security-related incidents while supporting a caring, reliable team culture.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and drivers while carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at an industrial location.
• Monitor and control access points by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor and contractor logs, issuing authorized access materials, and directing individuals to appropriate areas.
• Screen vehicles, deliveries, and personnel entering or leaving the location in accordance with established procedures, reporting unauthorized access attempts or irregularities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly notifying appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, perimeter locations, and assigned facilities to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
• Note: This site has limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
