This Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced position is a flexible, dependable option for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career with the industry leader. As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Visitor Services in Saint Louis, MO, this role provides reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility to earn more by picking-up additional shifts.

  • Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
  • Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours one week and full-time the next—it’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week, always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and contractors at a front desk in a technology, media, and telecommunications location by following site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
  • Monitor access to the facility by greeting visitors, verifying identification and authorization, issuing visitor credentials, and maintaining accurate visitor records.
  • Answer and direct incoming calls, provide general site information, and coordinate with appropriate personnel regarding visitor arrivals, deliveries, and service requests.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures and notifying appropriate contacts.
  • Monitor front desk activity, report unusual or suspicious activity, and support a professional, welcoming environment while helping to deter unauthorized access.

Requirements

  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
