About the Role

Allied Universal® offers a flexible, part‑time Security Officer – Enhanced position for individuals seeking supplemental income, hands‑on experience, or a pathway to a full‑time career. The role is unarmed patrol documentation at a commercial real‑estate site in Montgomery, AL, providing reliable, consistent hours with the option to pick up additional shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents, tenant concerns, access issues, and critical situations calmly, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of building interiors, common areas, parking facilities, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance or security concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with site procedures; report unusual conditions to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoff communications in alignment with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Requirements

• At least two years of security‑related experience.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet (preferred).
• Experience with alarm panels (preferred).
• Customer service experience (preferred).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles (21+ for armed roles).
• Subject to background investigation and drug screening as required by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply based on state or local regulations.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.
• Note: On‑site facilities are limited to portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.

Pay

Pay Rate: $16.30 per hour

Schedule

Daytime Saturday shift: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM.

Fixed‑Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): hired for a designated site and weekly shift with a six‑month commitment.

Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: pick up extra shifts through the scheduling platform to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time one week and full‑time the next, up to 40 hours per week, with the flexibility to scale back as needed.
