Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol

About the Role

This role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.
• This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Pay and Schedule

• Pay Rate: $22.38 / Hour
• Schedule: Daytime, Friday, 08:30 AM - 05:00 PM

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or members of the public at a government facility by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency personnel as directed by post orders.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, public areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site procedures; maintain awareness of visitor activity and restricted areas.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and logs for patrols, incidents, unusual conditions, and other security-related activities.

Minimum Requirements

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
