Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Mobile Driver

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Mobile Driver in Santa Cruz, CA, this role provides reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the opportunity to earn more by picking up additional shifts.

This role requires a six-month commitment to a designated site and weekly shift (anchor shifts). You may also pick up extra shifts through our Claim-A-Shift program, allowing you to scale your hours from part-time to full-time (up to 40 hours per week) based on your availability.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public by carrying out site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, public concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of public areas, buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, assisting with directions and access-related questions.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Minimum age of 21 years (18 for unarmed roles).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license (required for this role in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy).
• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and batons is preferred.
• Must pass a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and may be required prior to employment.

Pay

$22.00 per hour.

Schedule

Day/Time: Friday, 08:00 PM - 04:00 AM (anchor shift). Additional shifts may be claimed through the Claim-A-Shift program.
