Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Driver Reception Support

About the role

This position is a part-time, enhanced security officer role based in Lakeland, FL, designed for individuals seeking flexible, dependable hours. It features a fixed anchor shift at a designated site with a six-month commitment, plus the ability to earn more by picking up additional shifts through the company's scheduling platform. This allows for part-time or potentially full-time hours (up to 40 per week), with the flexibility to scale back as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors at a front desk within a financial services office, following site-specific procedures and Allied Universal policies.
• Monitor access to the location by greeting visitors, verifying credentials, issuing visitor passes, and maintaining accurate visitor logs.
• Answer phones, direct guests, provide general information, and communicate professionally with site personnel and emergency responders as needed.
• Observe front-desk activity and report suspicious behavior, access concerns, and other security-related issues to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner while following established emergency response procedures.

Minimum Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation and a drug screen (to the extent permitted by law).
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Pay

$17.75 / Hour

Schedule

Daytime, Sunday 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM (fixed anchor shift)
