This Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced position is a flexible, dependable option for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career with the industry leader. As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Credentialing in Little Rock, AR, this role provides reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours one week and full-time the next—it’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week, always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, visitor authorization, and/or delivery information in accordance with campus policies.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate campus personnel and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Maintain accurate visitor, vehicle, and incident documentation in accordance with site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of campus buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.

Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Schedule

• Day shift: Saturday 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Sunday 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM

Walk/stand for long periods of time. Weekly pay.
