Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to residents, guests, and visitors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for residents, guests, vendors, and service personnel in accordance with community procedures.
- Maintain accurate visitor, vendor, and delivery records and communicate access-related information to appropriate site personnel.
- Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of residential common areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
Requirements
- At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control or badge experience is preferred.
- A guard card is required.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Qualifications
- Minimum age requirement: 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ years old for armed roles.
- Must pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Must pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licenses and certifications: Florida State Security Agency License No. B8500287.
Skills
- Security-related experience.
