About the Role

The Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced position provides flexible, dependable hours for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands‑on experience, or work toward a full‑time career with the industry leader. This role is based at a designated site in Loxahatchee, FL, with reliable base hours and the option to pick up additional shifts.

How This Role Works

• Fixed‑Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as a reliable base schedule; six‑month commitment required.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: pick up extra shifts through the scheduling platform to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time one week and full‑time the next, up to 40 hours per week, with the ability to scale back when needed.

Pay

$21.00 per hour

Schedule

Daytime – Saturday 10:00 AM – 04:00 PM; Sunday 10:00 AM – 04:00 PM

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and vendors by carrying out site‑specific access control procedures, community policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access, maintain visitor and vendor logs, and communicate access concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of residential community common areas, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Document observations, incidents, and access‑related activities accurately and professionally in accordance with Allied Universal and site procedures.

Minimum Requirements

• At least 1 year of security‑related experience.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen required to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment, subject to state/local regulations.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.
