Security Officer Enhanced Part Time

As a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced Patrol in Roanoke, VA, you’ll have a fixed base schedule with the flexibility to pick up additional shifts for increased earnings and varied experience.

This role requires a six-month commitment to a designated site and weekly shift. Through our Claim-A-Shift program, you can scale your hours from part-time to full-time (up to 40 hours per week) based on your availability.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations calmly, documenting observations and reporting security-related issues per site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the banking location, lobby areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify authorized access as directed by site policies, and assist with visitor processing or directional support.
• Support Allied Universal and site leadership by communicating notable activity, completing required reports, and following post instructions for daily operations and after-hours coverage.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• High school diploma or GED (required by the client).
• At least 21 years of age.
• Valid Virginia DCJS license.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet (preferred).
• Subject to a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and may be required prior to employment.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Pay

$21.00 per hour.

Schedule

• Fixed anchor shift: Friday, 08:00 AM – 04:00 PM.
• Additional shifts available through the Claim-A-Shift program for flexible scheduling (part-time to full-time, up to 40 hours per week).
