How This Role Works
Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.
Responsibilities
Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and staff by following site-specific procedures, access guidelines, and other security-related policies.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report details to site contacts and/or local authorities as appropriate.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout common areas, parking areas, entrances, loading zones, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
Monitor activity on the property, assist with crowd and traffic flow during busy periods, and support emergency response activities in accordance with post instructions.
Minimum Requirements
Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
