Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Response

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at government locations.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and report unauthorized access attempts, unusual activity, hazards, and property concerns.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required logs related to patrols, incidents, observations, and other security-related activities.

Requirements

• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be able to ride a bike.
• Possess one of the following: a DD214 with an honorable discharge, an associate degree, 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
