As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Patrol Driver Inspection in Brownsville, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Pay & Schedule

• Pay Rate: $14.00 / Hour
• Schedule: Day Time, Fri 11:00 AM - 11:30 PM

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and employees while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using de-escalation techniques and requesting additional assistance when needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entry and exit points, parking areas, loading areas, and the perimeter.
• Monitor for unusual activity, policy violations, and potential loss-prevention concerns, and document observations and incidents according to site procedures.
• Maintain required armed post qualifications and follow applicable laws, Allied Universal policies, and site requirements for the handling and use of assigned equipment.

Requirements

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A Level III Armed Certification is required in Texas.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
