Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Patrol Driver

As an Armed Patrol Driver in Chicago, IL, this role provides reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility to earn more by picking up additional shifts.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor access to residential buildings, common areas, parking facilities, and perimeter locations; verify authorized entry and maintain awareness of unusual activity.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the residential property and surrounding perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and complete required reports.
• Maintain professional use, handling, and accountability of assigned equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, and Allied Universal policies.

Requirements

• Possess 2 or more years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Schedule

• Fixed anchor shifts: Thursday and Friday, 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM (6-month commitment).
• Flexible additional shifts available through the Claim-A-Shift program to increase earnings and experience.

Pay

$24.00 per hour.
