About the role

This Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced position is a flexible, dependable option for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career. As an Armed Patrol Computer Reporting Security Officer in Jacksonville, FL, you’ll have a fixed base schedule with the flexibility to earn more by picking up additional shifts.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back when needed.

How this role works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, members, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a financial institution.
• Monitor access points, review visitor activity, and help maintain controlled entry procedures for the location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the business, parking areas, ATMs, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Maintain required armed post credentials and handle assigned equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies, client procedures, and applicable laws.

Requirements

• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badges is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay

$19.00 / hour

Schedule

• Day shift: 07:00 AM – 07:00 PM
• Available days: Saturday, Sunday
