Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Patrol

About the Role

This Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced position offers flexible, dependable hours at an assigned site in Little Rock, AR. You’ll have a fixed base schedule with the option to pick up extra shifts for increased earnings and experience. The role is ideal for those seeking part-time work with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to utility operations personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific security procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of utility facilities, operational areas, buildings, equipment yards, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for personnel, contractors, deliveries, and vehicles entering restricted areas.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrol observations, incidents, and security-related concerns, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet one of the following criteria:
  • Graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of security-related experience.
  • 4+ years of military or law enforcement experience or a criminal justice degree.
  • DD214 with an honorable discharge, an associate degree, 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate.
• Supervisory experience (preferred).
• College degree (preferred).
• Valid driver’s license (for driving positions only).
• Pass a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Comply with state and/or local licensing laws and regulations, which may be required prior to employment.

Schedule

• Fixed anchor shifts (6-month commitment):
  • Friday: 12:00 PM – 05:00 PM
  • Saturday: 07:00 AM – 03:00 PM
  • Sunday: 07:00 AM – 03:00 PM
• Optional additional shifts available through the Claim-A-Shift program for increased earnings and flexibility.

Pay

$21.00 per hour, with weekly pay.
