Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and agency personnel by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and credentials, log visitor activity, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted or controlled areas.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency services as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, noting unusual activity and reporting security-related concerns according to site procedures.
- Support daily operations by maintaining accurate access records, assisting with directional questions, and following Allied Universal standards for professionalism and incident documentation.
Minimum Requirements
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess 1+ years' law enforcement experience or 2+ years' security-related supervisor/manager experience or 3+ years' security-related experience.
- Possess an armed guard card/license.
- Possess a college degree.
- Client requires proof of high school diploma/GED.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
