Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Alarm Panel Operator

About the Role

Allied Universal®, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a part‑time Security Officer – Enhanced (Alarm Panel Operator) in New Holland, PA. The position offers reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility to earn additional income by picking up extra shifts.

Pay

Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour

Schedule

Fixed‑Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”) for a six‑month period, with the option to pick up additional shifts through the “Claim‑A‑Shift” program. Example shift: Saturday 11:00 PM – 07:00 AM. The role can vary between part‑time and full‑time hours based on employee preference.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors while following security procedures, site policies, and emergency response protocols.
• Manage access control by verifying credentials, monitoring entry/exit points, issuing visitor badges, and maintaining access records.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Monitor access points and delivery traffic at a food and beverage location to support controlled movement of personnel, visitors, and authorized vehicles.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of designated access areas, the business, and perimeter; adapt to varying site conditions.

Minimum Requirements

• Experience with alarm panels (preferred).
• Experience with access control and badge systems (preferred).
• Comfort using a computer or tablet for daily tasks (preferred).
• Customer service experience (preferred).
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful background investigation in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screening as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply based on state/local regulations.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.
